David's lifelong passion for fine wine and food has been a cornerstone of his journey, culminating in over three decades of preparation for his current role. 

He left his mark as CEO and General Manager at Kosta Browne Winery, where his leadership culminated in the brand’s lucrative sale in 2015, allowing him to pursue his vision with Domaine Della, his own luxury wine label.

An intrepid traveler, David has navigated the globe extensively, with over 50 international tours that included visits to every key wine region, each journey enriched by the exploration of diverse cultures, cuisines, and wines.

Before his leadership at Kosta Browne, David amassed over 30 years of experience in driving growth-oriented strategies within the food and consumer products industry. He held executive positions at esteemed companies like Nabisco, Berkshire Hathaway, Gourmet Award Foods, and Ruiz Food Products. His strategic expertise is demonstrated through his prior role as an Operating Partner with Unique Partners and through his positions on numerous Boards of Directors.

David earned his BS in Accounting and Finance from the University of Nebraska and is a certified CPA. He also holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and completed the Wine Executive Program at the University of California, Davis. A renowned speaker, David has served on the faculties of Marketing and Finance at Sonoma State University's Wine MBA, the University of San Francisco's McLaren School of Management, Marquette University, and the University of St. Thomas.
