Partner Charity Spotlight: Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast

The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enable all young people, especially those that need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. The goal is to connect as many youths as possible with unique opportunities and activities that promote academic success, good character & citizenship, along with healthy lifestyles. We are proud to call them one of our partner children's charities, and we want to highlight how our Foundation impacts their organization.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast shares that our Foundation “...has impacted their organization by providing funding that gives hundreds of low-income youth access to outcome-driven club programming aimed at academic success, good character, great citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.” Funds raised by our Foundation help all club programs and supports the implementation of their SMART Girls programming for girls of all ages at nine club sites for 10 weeks. Their favorite event hosted by our Foundation is our annual Galentine’s Day Fundraiser which raises money for programs designed to empower young girls through our 16 partner children’s charities.

Many of our partner children’s charities work with and support one another. During the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast's summer and afterschool programs, Shelter House implements their programs with their the Boys and Girls Clubs youth. Children’s Volunteer Health Network provides dental screenings and oral hygiene products to Boys and Girls Clubs youth at no cost. In addition, Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center provides professional development training for the Boys and Girls Clubs staff and staff from the clubs continue to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Walton County!

When asked if their organization had any remarks on our Foundation, a representative said, “Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation is a wonderful illustration of love and commitment to the community. Even during the pandemic, they remained committed to fundraising and supporting non-profits. They pivoted their fundraising strategy and were able to make substantial grant awards to various non-profits.”

The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast wants people to know “...they are working daily to provide unique opportunities for youth that promotes productive lives.” Their impact reaches more than 5,000 club kids who walk through their clubs due to their hard work and dedication to finding programs and activities for youth to engage in.
