Charity Spotlight: Boys & Girls Club

bagcOriginally founded in 1968, the Boys & Girls Club has dramatically grown and expanded over the years into the amazing organization it is today. With their drive and belief that every child has the potential to be great, they provide seven safe, positive neighborhood Clubs along the Emerald Coast with school and summer programs for children between the ages of 5 and 18 years old. With more than 700 kids registered during the school year and over 1,950 during the summer, their Clubs are a place where great futures are started each and every day.

Boys & Girls Clubs focuses on several programs that provide their students the education and environment to succeed: Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles. These programs promote and enhance the development of the students by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging, and influence.

A charity partner of DCWAF since 2013, the Boys & Girls Club of the Emerald Coast continues to better the lives of these kids in our community with immediate and long-lasting positive impacts.
