With our gorgeous white sands and emerald waters on the horizon, we know that there is not a better way to enjoy the warm breeze of the Emerald Coast as spring rolls us into summer than with a crisp glass of vino in your hand. And if you are not at the beach? Close your eyes and take a sip of wine that will mentally transport you there! Check out our recommendations for the best wines to get you into the coastal spirit!

Sauvignon Blanc
A crisp sauvignon blanc is is the perfect beach companion. With flavors of grapefruit, pineapple, and lemongrass, is it easy to drink and designed to delight… especially while you are sunbathing! We recommend a 2016 Tournesol Sauvignon Blanc-Sémillon. With great minerality, aromas, and tastes of jasmine and orange blossoms, it provides a crisp pucker for a summer day. 

Rosé
This trendy salmon hued beverage is a crisp example of summertime sipping. A great rosé will feel just as home on the beach as it does in a vineyard- look for one with the freshness and drinkability of a white with an influence from the body and flavoring of a red. We recommend a 2016 Flowers Sonoma Coast Rosé. With light aromas of strawberry, raspberry, rose petal, and talc, its layered aromas highlight a complex palate drive by orange and citrus. 

Pinot Noir
If summertime whites and pinks aren’t your thing, a light bodied, fruit forward Pinot Noir may be just the thing for you. Not overly dry but not overly sweet, this versatile red pairs easily with a wide variety of dishes, off and on the beach. With flavors of strawberry, cherry, and blackberries dominating the palate, the fusion of earthy leather brings it home. We recommend a 2016  Pinot Noir from Hamilton Russell.
