The 10th Annual Auction is just 2 months away. April 25th will be filled with excitement, fabulous wine, delectable treats, and most importantly opportunities to bid on amazing lots and once in a lifetime experiences. We have a few more teasers for you, and this time they are all showing some local love to artists of various crafts or Historic Landmarks in the Southern US. Get ready to dive into the details of some more 10th Anniversary Auction Lots offered in April. Grab a glass of your favorite pinot, or in this case, maybe a glass of Angel’s Envy Bourbon, smooth and drinkable, finished in ruby port wine casks, awarded 98 points by Wine Enthusiast.

We are a wine auction, and while almost all of our auction lots include wine, there are a few for those that are coming to support the cause who would rather sip on a great bourbon, or better yet visit the distillery in the heart of Bourbon County. Our first ever bourbon auction with Angel’s envy is special. Included in this lot is the opportunity to blend your own bourbon and create a unique and personal 20 case blend (120 bottles) of your very own signature bourbon with Angel’s Envy founder Wes Henderson. While two couples spend three nights in the famous Seelbach Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, you will be in the heart of downtown Louisville, home to some of the world’s best bourbon bars. The Seelbach, a Golden Era Landmark, inspired F. Scott Fitzgerald to use the location as a backdrop for Tom and Daisy Buchanan’s wedding in the Great Gatsby. The 107-year-old hotel has housed many high profile people including a duchess, nine presidents, and 14 Grammy-winning musical groups. Enjoy dinner for four with Wes Henderson and a trip to historic Churchill Downs for an afternoon of horse racing if you plan your trip during racing season. More Details.

Not as far North is The Cloister at Sea Island, sitting near 5 miles of private beach and 5 miles from Fort Frederica. Southern Hospitality defined by legendary elegance beings personal service, spectacular dining and signature activities making The Cloister an enduring tradition. From a bird's-eye view, The Cloister encompasses a sprawling range of buildings and amenities, including the Sea Island Yacht Club, The Cloister Spa, and The Cloister Beach Club. Enjoy the lush, captivating gardens, rising boldly at river's edge, and a lunchtime wine education experience led by Tuck Beckstoffer and a 1.5L bottle of Tuck Beckstoffer Wine for each couple. 6 lucky winners will dine in The Cloister Wine Cellar with Jonathan Jerusalmy, Master Chef of France and Sea Island Executive Chef, and Tuck Beckstoffer, winemaker and proprietor of Tuck Beckstoffer Wine. One round of golf per person is included on the Seaside course, home to the PGA Tour’s McGladrey Classic. A Sea Island Essential Massage for each person is also included. See Details here.

Need a new piece of art to add to your collection? This next lot will not only entertain you during the main event, but the take home is even sweeter for the winning bidder as a gorgeous, one of a kind piece will hang in your home or gallery. Local artist Justin Gaffrey will be painting LIVE at the Auction Reserve Tasting on Saturday April 25th. Immediately following, this one of a kind, original work of art will be auctioned off, on stage, at our Live Auction. Justin’s artistic evolution has been through many stages since he started painting in 2001. Justin’s art is about finding a balance between what’s on the inside and how to display it on the outside. He hopes to use his creations to continue sharing with others what he is thinking or feeling, or new discoveries he makes. Stop over and join the fun-who knows you might be some inspiration!
