Red, White, & Blue

With many supporters from the great states of Oregon, Washington, and California, we encourage you to take a gander at our 2015 Auction Vintners and make a "grocery list" for the next time you are shopping to entertain friends and family. With Independence Day being this weekend, we know many of you, whether you prefer red or white, will want to support some American winemakers, as you swirl, sip, and enjoy the fireworks.

In honor of America's Independence, we will recommend the wines made by our friends and yours, Krutz Family Cellars. Also attending the Seaside Seeing Red Wine Festival again this year, and supporters of Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, the Krutz family has been producing wine in Monterey County, California since the summer of 2003.

The Krutz family often refers to themselves as #TeamKFC. If you are ever in Northern California, be sure to make a reservation to visit this small family owned winery in Sonoma County making wines from some of the most prized vineyards throughout Northern California. What's with the magnolia flower?  Krutz Family Cellars has included a Magnolia flower on each bottle of wine that it has produced since 2003. The Magnolia is the state flower and tree of Mississippi and for Krutz Family Cellars, it is a symbol of their southern roots. It not only represents where they are from, but also their way of life- true, honest, and fun. You can't get much more American than that.

When it comes to Red, White, and Wine, we encourage you to pop the cork on the Signature Series 2011 Soberanes Vineyard Pinot Noir. At $45 a bottle, this is a powerful pinot. With "bright and forceful Bing cherries and dark berries along with the slightest hue of roasted coffee bean on the nose. Immediate and broad textured tannins cover the palate as flavors of black raspberries, licorice and black tea leaves unravel. Oak-inspired overtones of crispy charred marshmellows and fall spice with balance acids elongate a finish that reverbs for hours."
