      Lance Baer founded Baer Winery in 2000 with a single passion—to bring something unique to Woodinville’s growing wine community. After years of working with some of the most prestigious wineries in the area, Lance wanted to take his winemaking skills in his own direction. He succeeded in handcrafting blends distinctly his own, and in April 2003 the first vintage of the winery’s signature blend, Ursa, was released. Ursa, a feminine expression of red wine, predominantly Merlot and Cabernet Franc, was soon followed by other blends and varietals from select vineyards sources.  

      Sadly, our founder, son, brother and friend, Lance Baer, passed away in May of 2007, at the age of 39. But the Baer family - his sister Lisa and father Les - with the expertise of consulting winemaker Erica Orr, are continuing to produce the wines that Lance was devoted to creating, as well as evolving and adding new blends to the winery’s line-up.

      Baer wines are available outside Washington State in limited distribution, including in Florida.  We also offer online sales and a small wine club.  Baer Winery is honored that the wines continue to receive national acclaim, including appearances in the Top 100 wines of the world.  We look forward to sharing these wines with you.

Connecting wine enthusiasts to raise money benefiting children in need in Northwest Florida

Founded in 2005, Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation has donated more than $32 Million to Northwest Florida children's charities by hosting world class wine and culinary events. These funds have impacted the lives of over 100,000 youth, including those afflicted by health issues and abuse. Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation is recognized as one of the nation’s ‘Top 10 Charity Wine Auctions in the U.S.’ by Wine Spectator Magazine for more than a decade.
