In the land of fire and ice, summer is the perfect time to experience the natural wonders of the Icelandic landscape. Two couples will spend seven nights exploring a breathtaking country filled with thundering waterfalls, sleeping volcanos, giant glaciers, hot springs, and green moss. Begin your trip in the northernmost capital city in the world, Reykjavík, where you will stroll the colorful street of the 101 before checking into the KVOSIN Hotel located in the heart of downtown Reykjavík. Enjoy a quiet cup of coffee on your private balcony before being transported to the Reykjanes Peninsula where you’ll experience the magnificence of Krysuvik’s volcanic springs, crashed boats in the fishing village of Grindavik, and feel the power of nature at Gunnuhver spring.

Your second full day in Iceland will be spent in the northern part of Iceland taking in the breathtaking Nordic countryside. Visit Europe’s most powerful hot spring, Deildartunguhver, experience the magic of the Hraunforssar and Barnafoss waterfalls, created at the point where the Havita river flows out of a natural lava field. Complete your day exploring a nearby lava cave before stopping for the night in Borgarnes.

Leave Borgarnes and travel west to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula for a full day of sightseeing. Visit the most famous waterfall in Iceland before driving along the renowned Snaefellsjokull Iceberg and across an ethereal black beach to take in a bird’s eye view of Arnarstapi before visiting the forgotten town of Stykkisholmur.

Leave Borgarnes and head to Iceland’s famous Golden Circle, which will lead you to the site of the first democratic parliament signing in the world in 930. Only a few minutes away is the Geysir geothermal area where hot springs are in abundance, geysers explode, and pools of mud bubble like a cauldron.

Begin your journey back to the southern coast, stopping to see a variety of breathtaking sights along the way. Swim in the hot springs beneath a volcano, visit the village of Vik, and end your journey in the most southern part of Iceland surrounded by beautiful black beaches and cliffs with expansive views of the Atlantic.

Spend your remaining time exploring Reykjavík and relaxing in the milky blue waters of the famous Blue Lagoon, a unique natural pool of mineral-rich geothermal water located in the middle of a lava field in the beautiful Icelandic wilderness. This action packed trip is for those with an explorer’s heart!
