Raffaele Mellino was born in Sorrento Italy to a family in the restaurant business. His father, Antonio, together with his mother Rita founded the world-famous Quattro Passi restaurant in Nerano, a small village between Amalfi and Capri.

His father Antonio always wanted Raffaele to be a second generation chef, and at the age of 15, he jumped into the culinary world helping his father in the kitchen of their family business.

Upon graduating from high school, Raffaele decided to spent a year in Washington, DC attending Georgetown University before completing his degree at Les Roches International School of Hotel Management in Bluche, Switzerland. At the Les Roches, Raffaele earned both an undergraduate degree in Hotel Management as well as a Master’s Degree in Food and Beverage Management.

In 2012, the Mellino family opened Quattro Passi London located in Mayfair, one of the most popular areas in London. Raffaele took the reins as Executive Chef and was tasked with cultivating a competitive team and managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.

In September 2016, Raffaele began a new adventure in Miami, Florida as kitchen manager of the new Forte dei Marmi in South Beach.
