Brendan Orr
Chef Brendan Orr was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1972. Shortly after, his family moved to Miami, FL where he spent the majority of his younger years. After high school, Chef Orr majored in English at the University of Florida, Gainesville when he realized he enjoyed cooking and had a natural gift with culinary tastes.

Shortly after, Chef Orr enrolled in an apprenticeship program with the American Culinary Federation in Jacksonville. He then went to Paris, France where he attended several Master Chefs classes taught by world renowned Meilleur Ouvrier de France award winner Chef Michel Cliche as well as running a restaurant in the center of the city.  After returning to the states, he decided to move to Key West where Chef Orr worked for six years under Executive Chef Doug Shook at the acclaimed Louie’s Backyard.

Now Executive Chef of the Roof Top Café, Chef Brendan Orr delights in bringing you his “New-Island” cuisine; combining contemporary flavors of the tropics, spices from the far east and staples from the Mediterranean along with the absolute freshest produce, meats and seafood.

Chef Orr and the Roof Top Café are involved in many charitable activities such as AIDS HELPS, annual Taste of Key West and the Bahamas Village Children’s Music Trust. In addition, Chef Orr has won the Marc House’s Master Chefs Classic Award three years running. Chef Orr’s “New-Island” cuisine will excite your taste buds and leave you yearning to try his next creation.
