The Arc of the Emerald Coast (Horizons) was founded in 1955 and is an affiliate of The Arc of the United States, the world’s largest grassroots advocacy organization for citizens of all ages with cognitive, intellectual, and developmental disabilities, and their families. Horizons works to include all children and adults with cognitive, intellectual, and developmental disabilities in every community. We focus on abilities, respect, choice for all and encourage active citizenship and inclusion in every community.

One of every ten families in America has a member with an intellectual and developmental disability. There are more than 7.5 million people in the U.S. with an intellectual and developmental disability. Cognitive/intellectual disability is a condition, not a disease.

Connecting wine enthusiasts to raise money benefiting children in need in Northwest Florida

Founded in 2005, Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation has donated more than $32 Million to Northwest Florida children's charities by hosting world class wine and culinary events. These funds have impacted the lives of over 100,000 youth, including those afflicted by health issues and abuse. Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation is recognized as one of the nation’s ‘Top 10 Charity Wine Auctions in the U.S.’ by Wine Spectator Magazine for more than a decade.
