Seeing Celebrities at Seeing Red: Willamette Valley Vineyards and Bud & Alley's

This Fall, we plan on doing a lot of eating and drinking as we are expecting quite the lineup of wine and food at the 26th Annual Seaside Seeing Red Wine Festival from November 3rd-6th. Here's a little taste of what you can expect.

Willamette Valley Vineyards will bring their wines across the country from Oregon to our backyard in the historic town of Seaside, Florida. Founded in 1983 by Jim Bernau, Willamette Valley Vineyards has grown their business to produce world-class wines. They boast a strong philosophy of utilizing the highest quality fruit to achieve balance and truly expressive varietals. As with many Oregon based wineries, Willamette Valley Vineyards are most famous for their Pinot Noir, but they also find success with their Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. This region's cool and rainy climate helps produce the perfect environment for an elongated grape-growing season ideal for producing smooth, fruit forward Pinot Noir. Since Oregon's wine labeling laws established a 90 percent minimum varietals content, their Pinot Noir has to be made from at least 90 percent Pinot grapes, instead of the current national standard of 75 percent. This makes Willamette Valley Vineyards' Pinot Noir a red you'll definitely want to see at the Seaside Seeing Red Wine Festival! Be sure to make your way to the retail tent during the festival to take this delicious wine (and many others) home with you.

We can also expect to see Seaside native, Bud & Alley's Waterfront Restaurant who has been the longest standing participant of the Seaside Seeing Red Wine Festival. Founded in 1987 by two surfing buddies and named for their beloved dog and cat, Bud & Alley's has created a dining tradition where good food and good people having a good time is paramount. Their unpretentious farm- and sea-to-table cuisine has put a fresh spin on the Southern classics that are served up daily. They have extended this philosophy to the laid back beach favorite, Pizza Bar that boasts artisanal wood-fired pizzas that would make Italy proud, and Taco Bar's fresh Mexican-style tacos, tequila, and cervezas. Bud & Alley's is much more than a restaurant or beach bar, it's a beloved institution, and owner Dave Rauschkolb who founded the Seeing Red Wine Festival 26 years ago has helped make Seaside what it is today.

You can expect to excite your taste buds with these and many other festival favorites at the Seaside Seeing Red Wine Festival. Don't delay, buy your tickets before they're gone & enjoy early pricing before October 1st. See you there!
